📕Rules

Everything you need to know to avoid punishments

Like every server, Codersky has its rules. Our goal is to have as few rules as possible, but at the same time to ensure that Codersky is a safe place to play, so most of these rules could be considered common sense. If you consider yourself someone with experience in the world of Minecraft servers, reading the title of each rule should be enough, however, if you have any doubts about the exact application of a rule, you can always expand it to see a detailed explanation.

#1 - Flood, spam or self-promotion

Flooding is basically sending messages with the intention of filling the chat with irrelevant content, for example sending "Hello" 8 times, writing "Hellooooooooooooo" or directly "ashiojsljiksnfkhjasbflnksdfk" (although in this last example we can allow it as a humorous reaction to a joke, the context taken into account, but do not overdo it), spam and self-promotion go hand in hand, essentially sending links that do not belong to Codersky, naming other servers, promoting your YouTube channel, and so on.

#2 - NSFW or obscene content

While Minecraft itself does not allow sending images or videos and this rule is mostly designed for Discord. It is not allowed to mention or make references to sexual, violent or generally any other type of graphic content that may be considered offensive.

#3 - Respect other users

While we won't ask you to speak formally to anyone, try to maintain a basic level of respect and avoid things like harassment, toxicity, sexism, racism, dark humor, hate speech or conversations about politics and religion. We understand that you may want to discuss certain topics, but a video game chat is not the place to do it.

#4 - Threats

Threats of any kind and towards any person whether by means of physical, verbal or virtual violence as in the case of a DDoS are not allowed. This same rule also applies to the server, and may be punished for threatening with an attack even if it does not come to fruition.

#5 - Identity theft and dissemination of personal data

Impersonation as well as the theft and dissemination of user data is prohibited. Although it could not be considered impersonation, this rule also applies in case you try to impersonate staff, you can help, but do not say you are part of the staff, unless you take a look here and manage become one.

#6 - Use or distribution of non-permitted software and cheats

Unallowed software is software that has the ability to give you an advantage over other users or is directly intended to harm other users, to give a few examples: Use of cheats, exploits or the abuse of bugs present in the game, server vulnerabilities, mods or texture packs that give you advantages and so on. To be on the safe side, it is best to follow the list of allowed modifications or ask directly to the staff if the modification you want to use is not on the list but you think it should be.

#7 - Illegitimate use of multiple accounts

Having and using more than one account is allowed as long as each account is used by a different person. Which means that you can play from the same IP with two accounts as long as those two accounts are used by two different people. A single person cannot have more than one account, only the staff can override this rule with the founder's authorization.

Allowed modifications

This is the list of all allowed modifications within the network, please note that this list may change at any given time. The prohibition of any currently allowed modification will be notified via Discord.

Optimization mods

Generally any mod that only tries to optimize the game is allowed, however, here is the list of those that are currently known and allowed:

PvP clients

One of the trickiest parts, beware of using any other client that is not present in this list, keep in mind that modifying the client itself is not allowed, unless your modifications only include mods allowed in this list itself, of course.

Specific mods

These are the exact mods allowed, these are the ones that may change frequently.

Rules may be treated subjectively by the staff, with the right to appeal any unfair punishment.
